Privacy Policy
Effective August 6, 2026 · Honey Badger Labs LLC
The short version: Milehq has no user accounts, no servers, and no analytics. Your trips, routes, and locations are recorded and stored only on your iPhone. We cannot see your data, and we never sell or share it — because we never receive it.
Information we collect
None. Honey Badger Labs LLC does not collect, receive, transmit, or store any personal information from Milehq. There is no sign-up, no login, and no account. Milehq operates no backend service.
Information Milehq stores on your device
To do its job, the app records the following locally on your iPhone, in the app's private storage:
- Trip records — start and end time, distance, category (business, personal, commute, medical, charity), and any purpose note you type.
- Location data — GPS coordinates recorded during an active drive, used to measure distance and draw your route.
- Motion activity — used only to tell driving apart from walking so tracking can start and stop itself and save battery. It is evaluated on device and not retained.
- Your settings — mileage rates, work hours, and destinations you have classified before, which power on-device category suggestions.
This data stays on the device. Deleting the app deletes all of it. Individual trips can be deleted in the app at any time.
Apple services the app relies on
Milehq sends nothing to Honey Badger Labs LLC, but two features use Apple's built-in services, which are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy rather than ours:
- Maps — when you open a trip and view its route, Apple Maps loads map imagery for that area.
- Reverse geocoding — to label a trip with a street address instead of raw coordinates, the device asks Apple to convert coordinates into an address.
These requests are made by iOS on your device. Honey Badger Labs LLC receives no copy of them.
Sharing and exports
Milehq can generate CSV and PDF mileage reports. These are created on your device and go nowhere until you explicitly share them — for example emailing a report to your accountant. You choose the recipient; the app never transmits a report on its own. The same applies to the shareable summary card: it is created on device and shared only when you tap share and pick a destination.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
There are none. Milehq contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no third-party trackers, and no crash reporting service. The app does not use the Advertising Identifier and does not track you across apps or websites.
Purchases
If Milehq offers an optional paid upgrade, purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your payment details. Apple provides us only anonymous, aggregate sales reporting.
Children
Milehq is a business-expense tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children — or, as described above, from anyone.
Your rights
Because your data never leaves your device, you already hold it exclusively. You can view, edit, export, or delete any of it from within the app, and remove all of it by deleting the app. There is no account for us to close and no server-side copy for us to erase.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
